MSNBC on Life Support
Comcast announced that it will “spinoff” its cable networks including MSNBC, CNBC, E!, Syfy, Golf Channel, Oxygen and USA. Does that mean dump them? Sort of.
NBCUniversal will no longer be the parent company of these networks and they will be on their own under a new company called SpinCo. This naming is probably not wise given that people can see the obvious biased “spin” that NBC’s cable news networks have been guilty of. They have literally spun themselves into a ratings abyss so do you really want to draw attention to that?
Comcast will keep the broadcast network NBC, streaming network Peacock and the reality network Bravo.
MSNBC stars are reportedly freaking out about this because it removes their access to NBC News reporting and money and pushes them lower on the pecking order of old world media. They worried “about whether the network will need to change its name, logos and headquarters after reports surfaced that the new entity could be cut off from the reporting muscle of NBC News, sources said.” Their boss Mark Lazarus says that he wasn’t sure.
So MSNBC could just become…MS? And CNBC would be…C? Do you think it has something to do with their total self implosion due to utterly shit reporting since the pandemic?
Bill O’Reilly says that this means that MSNBC “is vapor” without NBC News but NBC News has to do this because MSNBC is dragging down NBC News properties like The Today Show. He predicts that this is a death knell of MSNBC and possibly CNBC too.

Show Us The Evidence
The House Ethics Committee on Wednesday declined to release its own report on Matt Gaetz, the Florida representative who has been picked to be the next Attorney General during the Trump administration.
Some committee members say that the report is “not done” but Politico reports that it is. The committee voted not to release it but Democratic Ranking Member Susan Wild says that the committee will meet again in December to vote again.
The report details allegations that Gaetz had sex with a 17-year-old girl and that he paid for sex with underage girls. The Department of Justice investigated this for three years and declined to prosecute, citing that they had a “lack of credible evidence.”
One of the primary witnesses was Joel Greenberg, who was convicted of child sex trafficking. Greenberg agreed to testify against Gaetz to reduce his sentence. However, Greenberg has a history of accusing other men of pedophilia, such as when he falsely accused a school teacher who was his political opponent. Also, the 17-year-old in question who allegedly had sex with Matt Gaetz actually did have a sexual relationship with Greenberg. There is also evidence that she lied about her age, presenting herself as 18 years old.
All of this is presumably why the DOJ declined to prosecute Gaetz. But could the House Ethics Committee have unturned something more that is incriminating? Possibly. It is also possible that they didn’t and that is why we haven’t been allowed to see it yet.
I’d say it is in our best interest to see this and all investigations about all elected representatives.

Meet The World’s Most Wanted Man
The International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant as well as for Hamas leader Mohammed Diab Ibrahim Al-Masri.
Two other Hamas leaders also had warrants but they have since been killed so the court withdrew the warrants. Mohammed Diab Ibrahim Al-Masri is also reportedly dead but the court says that they are “not in a position to determine whether Mr Deif has been killed or remains alive. Therefore, the Chamber issues the present warrant of arrest. The Prosecution also noted that it continues to investigate the crimes in the ongoing conflict and envisions that further applications for warrants of arrest will be submitted.”
Israel had rejected the initial warrants, arguing that the court had no authority but the court rejected their rejection. The arrest warrants for the Israeli officials are for crimes against the Palestinians in Gaza. The court insists that it has jurisdiction over Gaza and the West Bank.
Respected journalist Seymour Hersh reported on Wednesday that his sources on the ground in Gaza call what is happening “holocaust conditions.”
“We don’t use the word because it has a special place in the Western imagination and heart, but this is a holocaust in terms of collective punishment and dehumanization and the technical tools. But is it a holocaust eighty years later being done remotely and on people’s bodies. . . . A missile i dropped in a densely populated civilian area, tents mostly, and then you have drones coming in afterward to pick off people one by one. We didn’t have drones during World War II, but we do now, and the logic is pretty much the same.”
Hersh reports that Israel will have full control of the West Bank within two weeks.

Russia Launches Massive Attack
Russia is threatening to attack a U.S. base in Poland with “advanced weapons.” These are the same weapons Russia used for the first time early this morning to strike targets in Ukraine with devastating precision. NATO has nothing that can stop them.
Is Poland next?
“Given the nature and level of threats posed by such Western military facilities, the missile defense base in Poland has long been added to the list of priority targets for potential destruction, which, if necessary, can be executed with a wide range of advanced weapons,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.
This base was only opened last week and NATO claims that it “can intercept short- to intermediate-range ballistic missiles.”
Zakharova also said this: “This [base] aligns with the longstanding and destructive practice of advancing NATO’s military infrastructure closer to Russia’s borders. Such actions undermine strategic stability. Coupled with other harmful military-political and military-technical measures aimed at projecting US power thousands of kilometers from its own territory to exert pressure on Russia and other nuclear powers, this inevitably heightens strategic risks and, consequently, raises the overall level of nuclear danger.”
Russia has increased their threat level since Ukraine began firing long-range weapons into uncontested regions of Russia.
While Ukraine continues to escalate and put the rest of the world at risk, President Biden has moved to forgive $4.7 billion in U.S. loans to Ukraine. Senator Rand Paul attempted to block this move but his efforts were thwarted.
So the U.S. government will NOT get that money back as President Biden has repeatedly assured us. It will be absorbed into the national debt, which weakens the U.S. dollar even further.

Liberals Declare Digital Divorce
Liberals who are upset at Elon Musk for not censoring X and endorsing Donald Trump have flocked to Bluesky. The social network’s CEO Jay Graber says that the site now has 20 million users and has gained over one million users per day since the election.
Blusky feels like X but it is far simpler. Do they do what liberals want Elon Musk to do and censor content? They do. Bluesky uses AI for automated moderation alongside human moderation. They are also working on a tattletale system called “community labeling” so users can help moderators “inform” their decisions.
It is a great place to find liberal jabber, that’s for sure. The media is calling this the “national digital divorce.”
Will liberals get tired of talking to themselves or will conservatives join the conversation and make it interesting? Who knows. The Babylon Bee poked fun of this “digital divorce” with this satire: “Experts Predict Every Liberal Will Soon Be On Own Individual Social Media Platform To Prevent Encountering Wrong Opinions.”

Trump’s Cabinet of Curiosities
President-Elect Trump named new cabinet members this week. They include:
Linda McMahon as Secretary of Education. She was formerly the Administrator of the Small Business Administration and an executive at WWE. She is the wife of Vince McMahon. She is a proponent of school choice and parents’ rights, meaning that education decisions will be sent back to the states if she has anything to do with it.
Dr. Mehmet Oz as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator. Yes, the TV Dr. Oz. He has been outspoken about America’s dependence on processed food and the biopharmaceutical industry. Will that be his platform for the only national healthcare system we’ve got?
Howard Lutnick as Secretary of Commerce. He is currently the CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald, a financial services company. The President-Elect says that he will lead his tariff and trade agenda, which President Trump said on the campaign trail will help reduce the federal government’s dependence on income taxes.
Matthew Whitaker, former acting Attorney General, as the Ambassador to NATO. The President-Elect says that he will “strengthen relationships with our NATO Allies, and stand firm in the face of threats to Peace and Stability – He will put AMERICA FIRST.” Is this an indication that NATO will no longer be setting U.S. foreign policy? I hope…

The Prosecution of Donald Trump
New York Prosecutor Alvin Bragg has agreed to delay the sentencing for President-Elect Trump in the Stormy Daniels hush money trial.
This doesn’t mean that the case was dismissed. The Trump team had asked to delay the sentencing which was supposed to be next week. Alvin Bragg’s team, the prosecution, say that they don’t oppose this.
The Trump team has argued for dismissal based on presidential immunity and Bragg’s filing says that he will oppose that. So he will keep fighting for a win in this case, but maybe with less wind at his back.
Unless Judge Marchan dismisses the case entirely, which he could do.
The President Elect’s team is arguing for dismissal based on presidential immunity but his 6th amendment rights were clearly violated during this trial and there is strong evidence of selective prosecution given that Hillary Clinton was not prosecuted for the same journal entry for the Steele Dossier. I would much rather those things be the grounds for dismissal. Does this mean that the rest of us have to run for president if we are politically prosecuted against our civil rights?

Ukraine Launches New Long-Range Attacks
Ukraine followed up its long-range weapon attack on Russia on Wednesday, this time reportedly with weapons from the U.K. This follows attacks on Tuesday with U.S.-made ATACMS missiles.
On Tuesday, Ukraine attacked Russia’s Bryansk region. On Wednesday, they reportedly attacked the Kursk region. Neither of those places are near the contested region where the battle has been in Ukraine.
This means that Ukraine is not defending itself to regain territory. They are only instigating a global war because Russia has said that it considers an attack from Ukraine an attack from the West and will retaliate accordingly.
Who wants this war? No sane person living in a NATO country wants to fight Russia but guess what? Neither do Ukrainians. Gallup somehow surveyed Ukrainians and found that more of them want the war to end than want to keep fighting.
I thought the West “stood with Ukraine.” If they stand with Ukraine, they should honor their wishes for peace.
